The Growing Demand for Automation
Trafo has been operating since 2008 in the cable harness and EMI filter manufacturing industry, supplying components used, among other things, in machines that produce photovoltaic panels, monitors, and microprocessors. It is a demanding, competitive industry that is strongly influenced by the rapidly changing situation in the Asian market.
As market demand for components manufactured by Trafo grew—and, as a result, the company continued to expand—the need arose to purchase modern, automated machines that would optimize and increase production efficiency. To meet the growing demands and needs of its customers, Trafo decided to partner with Evoltec, a company that offers innovative and automated solutions for the industry.
From the first machine to full automation
Trafo’s first contact with Evoltec took place at AUTOMATICON—the International Trade Fair for Automation and Measurement—in 2017, where Trafo became interested in the wire processing automation solutions presented by Evoltec. That same year, Trafo representatives decided to purchase their first machines—the Komax Kappa 315 automatic wire cutting and stripping machine and the Komax Mira 340 programmable wire stripping machine with a rotary head. Both proved to be crucial for the plant’s further development.
In the years that followed, the machinery fleet was systematically expanded to include additional equipment: a Mecal s.r.l. TT press, a WEZAG GmbH & Co. KG WDT UP14 pneumatic press, as well as a Komax Kappa 320 along with a Brady Wraptor A6500 printer for marking cables, and another press—the Komax Delta 240—purchased with Siemens Finance financing provided by Evoltec. Today, Trafo’s machine park already includes 8 machines purchased in collaboration with Evoltec.
Last year, the need arose to further expand the company’s machinery fleet. Trafo participated in the Evoltec Technology Days in April 2023, where company representatives discussed their needs with Evoltec consultants and selected the equipment best suited to the materials they process, which led to the completion of another transaction.

Key Elements of Implementation
- Automated Cutting and Stripping: Komax Kappa 315 with automatic wire diameter measurement and cutting parameter selection.
- Precision machining of difficult-to-machine materials: Komax Mira 340 with a rotary head and four X-type blades—for Teflon, Kapton, and silicone.
- Crimping and marking: Mecal TT and WEZAG WDT UP14 presses, and the Komax Kappa 320 with a Brady Wraptor A6500 printer.
- Flexible financing: purchase machine parts through Siemens Finance leasing offered by Evoltec.
- Continuous expansion of our machinery fleet: currently, 8 machines purchased in partnership with Evoltec.
Measurable business benefits
- Production tripled last year.
- Greater precision and higher-quality processing of even the most demanding insulation materials.
- Minimize downtime with Evoltec's rapid technical and service support.
- Sufficient production capacity to handle even larger production orders.
The advice provided by Evoltec's representatives is very practical, professional, and builds trust—I feel that they are committed to selecting the equipment that best suits my company's needs.
ROMAN, OWNER OF TRAFO
Through the Eyes of an Evoltec Expert

From the very beginning of Trafo’s operations, we’ve supported the company by advising on machine selection—it was there that Poland’s first Komax Mira 340 was installed, revolutionizing production. Over time, the machine fleet expanded to include more advanced equipment, such as programmable crimping presses and a Brady marking system. In addition, we helped finance these investments through a Siemens Finance lease, making it easier to purchase the equipment without placing an excessive burden on the company’s budget.
Note: The Kappa and Mira models have been discontinued. They have been replaced by the Schleuniger Multistrip 9480 and PowerStrip 9580, as well as the Schleuniger B Series machines.
